The scene pictured here with a fish shed and fisherman is a detail taken from Time Goes By, a monumental commissioned work inspired by Sand Cove in Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia. The sky is hand-painted and many different fabrics such as dupioni silk for the water, cotton prints and hand-dyed wool fabric were employed in the creation of this work.
