Laurie Swim Gallery
Located at the entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site on Lincoln Street in the heart of picturesque Lunenburg, the Laurie Swim Gallery showcases Laurie’s work in a beautiful setting.
The Gallery shows some of Laurie’s original quilted artwork alongside 6 other renowned artists across the maritimes.
"We visited the gallery in Lunenberg recently travelling from Ontario. It was truly one of the highlights of our east coast trip. Her work is magnificent and each piece is filled with a story. We stayed at that small gallery for over an hour amazed at the detail and complexity of the pictures"
"It would be impossible not to rate this type of unique art at the highest level possible. It is brilliantly conceived and executed. Inspires the imagination. We will bring our grandchildren around for a visit later in the summer to show them the level of detail and inspiration possible in this particular art form expression."
"This gallery is certainly worth a visit, to see a collection of Laurie’s works at close range. There’s quite a number of her quilts on display. The assistant at the gallery was helpful, explaining Laurie’s work and giving information about her techniques and how she goes about creating her masterpieces (because that is what they are)."
"We loved the art...a wonderful variety of pieces that reflects life in the Maritimes. The Halifax Explosion work is not to be missed. We highly recommend a visit to this gallery as part of your bucket list!"
