Jimmy in His Garden Greeting Card
A few years back I created The Lunenburg Heritage Quilt for the Nova Scotia town’s 250th anniversary. Old Town Lunenburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. To involve the community and visitors in the project, a work space was set up in the public eye for the summer in the Knaut Rhuland House Museum, the centre of Old Town. Surrounding the house are well-kept flower gardens with authentic plants from the 18th century. One day when I was looking for foliage to create sun prints on fabric for the quilt project I met Jimmy Aulenback, who created the garden and lovingly tends it.
