Richard’s Peace was commissioned by a widow as a memorial to her husband Richard, who lost his battle with cancer. It is a gift to her son. This commission came six months after my own struggle with cancer. It was the first work I undertook after surgery and moving to Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia.
