Summer House Revisited Greeting Card
Many old homes were built on the shoreline, convenient to the fisherman and his family for access to the sea. Over the years, however, with the decline of the fish stocks, families moved inland where it is more sheltered from the windblown exposure to winter storms. Seaside dwellings are being scooped up by summer people who come to enjoy the season when the fresh salt air revitalizes one with each breath taken. In the offseason, as the underbrush encroaches, they take on a forlorn appearance waiting for their inhabitants’ return.
